Hi!  My name is Kyla and I am a 5^th grader at Illinois School located in Park Forest, Illinois.  I’m full of energy, super active and love sports, piano and travel. I know that school is first. I received perfect attendance since I started school. I am now in a pre-honors piano recital. I am also in my Schools gifted program and am a 'A' honor student. Now relax and see how I spend my days. I’m going to take you through a journey of my life.

I was born 3 months early and I weighed 1 pound 5 ounces. The first three months of my life I stayed in a Neonatologist unit, but I survived! I have made high honors since I started school. I even kept my grades up while doing soccer, track, cheer-leading, gymnastics, piano and girl scouts. My busy schedule gives me an opportunity to meet a lot of people.  Now, I hope I will meet other people with the same interests but in different parts of the world.

I received many Girl Scout badges but mostly from helping and volunteering in the community. Sometimes my family calls me the investigator reporter. They call me that because I always know what’s going on and I am the first one to tell all about it.

I love to read and write and I received an award in the 3^rd grade for my super spelling and fantastic reading skills. I also received a lot of awards for cheer-leading, track, gymnastics, soccer, and girl scouts. I’m also known as the big actress to family and friends because everything and I mean everything I do is dramatic. I’ll probably give in to the urging of friends and classmates to join the drama club at school. I enjoy so many things in life but I think my real desire is to be a journalist and travel the world getting stories about different people.  Who knows, I may be a reporter or make a movie.   I hope that you enjoyed a journey of my life!
